Signum CarTrack is a tracking system that is able to precisely verify a vehicle's position and time determined by GPS during the test drive with minimum effort.

It consists of an ultra precise electronicoptical calibration system by using a stereo camera setup. The vehicle is detected in the field of view of the cameras and is detected automatically. The core of measurement are both, a fixed referenced coordinate system and secondly, the superordinate GPS coordinate system in which the position of the vehicles is determined.

 

To distinguish different vehicles in a series of tests, various distinct coded markers are available. To reference the different tests, a database is available for the correct allocation of those markers and vehicles.
